Nancy Bond, ARM, President
Nancy Bond, ARM, President, is the founder of Nancy Bond Insurance Services since its inception in 1998. Her absolute love for people and their businesses drives her to sell and service their insurance needs as if they were her own. She is a nationally known motivational speaker and frequently teaches classes on such topics as Risk Management, Protecting your Ministry; Human Resources for the small business owner; Sexual Abuse Prevention for the youth serving organization; and her favorite topic, The Power of Gratitude! She has volunteered on the Board of Directors of the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association (ELEA) and is also their Employee Benefits Administrator; served on the Executive Board of Directors for the Monrovia Chamber of Commerce for 10 years, last as President; has been the President of her local Business Network International (BNI). Her hobbies include just about anything health and fitness related. Very early on most mornings you can find her on her road bicycle or on a hike in the local mountains! She is the mom of 2 adult children, one of them is Jennifer Bond. She is “Gigi” to 3 grandchildren. Call on her to help you, and she’ll probably drop what she’s doing and will most likely cheer you up at the same time.
Jennifer Bond, MLIS
Jennifer Bond, MLIS, was born in the small, humble village of Los Angeles. From an early age, Jennifer knew that although being a circus performer would be thrilling, she’d prefer the stability and gratification of a career in the family business: an independent insurance agency. Thus, she started at the wee age of 20 and instantly became what she calls an “insurance nerd.” When not hiking the mountains of California and Colorado, she likes to garden, cook, play piano, and sing. Jennifer strives to make sure your insurance needs are met and has fun in the process.
Karen Holbrook, CIC, CSR
Karen Holbrook, CIC, CSR, is one of our commercial lines Account Managers. She started her insurance career in 1978 at St. Paul Insurance, then in 2003, moved to the agency side as a Commercial Account Manager. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Florida, living in that state most of her life until being swept up by the beauty of Colorado. Karen is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and she enjoys building lasting relationships with her clients and learning about their business. She is very responsive to customer needs, whether it be writing a new piece of business, taking care of a billing issue or looking for ways to protect her customer in any insurance risk situation they may have. She understands the importance of quick and reliable response to any inquiry. Karen lives in Fort Collins with her husband Mark, has a 2 grown daughters in Colorado, 3 Grandchildren and a son in Florida. Her favorite activities when not working diligently for others, are hiking, swimming, biking, reading, movies, gardening and travel. She feels Colorado is one of the greatest places for all these activities. She loves working on our team!
Susan Hagen
Susan Hagen’s 30 year journey to position of accounting manager began with her own business as a health foods baker. Keeping “the books” was little blue invoice pads, a few spread sheets and writing cake labels by hand into the wee hours. This was followed by a big learning curve as bookkeeper for a law firm, followed by a long and satisfying period as accounting supervisor in the PR and advertising business. Five years with one of the first shelters for women and children led her finally to Nancy Bond Insurance Services. Susan is the Nancy Bond Insurance Services Accounting Supervisor.
Monica Cordeiro
Monica Cordeiro comes to Nancy Bond Insurance Services with vast experience in sales, customer service and recruiting. She truly enjoys connecting with clients and building long lasting relationships. Monica considers herself a resource and is always looking for ways to make every client completely satisfied.
She grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from UC Santa Barbara. She enjoys spending time with her family watching movies, hiking, traveling and going to softball games with her girls. Monica’s enthusiasm and energy creates a fun environment for clients and her team.
Rula Kearns
Rula Kearns was born and raised in Nebraska, so she will always be a Husker girl at heart.
She started her insurance career in 2000, managing the agency for 2 Agents with American Family Insurance in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 2006, she relocated with her family to Colorado where she has continued her insurance career as a Personal Lines Account Manager. She now joins the amazing team at Nancy Bond Insurance Services. Having been in customer service field for over 31 years, she has made sure every customer is heard and properly educated about their coverages. She is a licensed Agent and focuses primarily on home, auto and personal lines insurance.
A few of her favorite things include refinishing furniture, painting, taking long walks with her pups and fun time with her family.
Rula lives in Johnstown with her husband Chris, 2 daughters Aundrea and Katie, and their 5 rescue pups.
A tribute to our friend and co-worker Karin Crehan, Life and Health Department Account Manager 2017-2020: Karin died suddenly on Saturday, October 24, 2020 of a brain aneurysm. Our office and community have experienced an enormous loss. Karin was a mother, a grandmother, and a loyal friend. Karin will be remembered as a very special woman who deeply loved her family, cared about her friends and community, and had a tender heart. We love you Karin, and we miss you so much.
